01 Feb Fractured Royalty

Small scale mix-media work by Sarban Chowdhury during the 8th Episode of Uronto Residential Art Exchange Program at Dubolhati, Noagaon, Rajshahi, BD.

Set of nine drawings and print on paper, exploring the different sections of the Rajbari and giving them a fictional touch through time travel.

Sarban Chowdhury from India, started his practice initially with stoneware, terracotta and porcelain, but gradually shifted his interest from clay and exploring wider possible medium. He wants his work to exist not as the ubiquitous “art object” but as something more enigmatic – foreign yet familiar, handmade yet somehow organic.
