01 Dec Workshop with AISD Student- FLIPBOOK project

The Flipbook making workshop took place under the co-curriculum program of America International School Dhaka.  Curator Sadya Mizan was invited by Francis Angelo Trainor- HS Visual Arts, AISD to take an interactive workshop with the students under their Arts curriculum.

It was an amazing opportunity for URONTO to work with Kids form the school.  The workshop was participated by student from four batches. In the workshop the theme was to create a flipbook, representing their identities and important stories of their lives through 24 slides. It was divided into two segments, first creating the story line and edit the photos accordingly, second making the structure of the flipbook and assemble the photo story.

Various kinds of stories were told through their 24 slides. It was something very new but interesting for them. Mr. Trainor helped a lot in the entire process as he knows the temperament of the students and possible precautions. The class room studio was well equipped with all kind of materials which made the work even smoother.

It was a four day workshop in the month of November 2018. As the outcome of the workshop there were 28 flipbooks made by the students. (few images are like bellow)

It must be mentioned that the flipbook project was introduced by URONTO during their First exhibition in Dhaka Art Summit.
