29 Jan The Park for the Bricks
Parks and play grounds are usually made for children to play and elders to walk out of the concrete houses and relax and enjoy time with friends and family. Park is generally a recreational place. The artists here tried to create a recreational place for the bricks and the only object that lives in the surrounding is the bricks. So it was very obvious to make the park for brick where there are colorful rocking cradle for bricks.
Artists have beautifully balance the reality and the surreality in this work. The reality is that the place which was a playground for the children has became a war ground of development, and the concern for human has shifted to bricks so the surreality says that lets have a Park anyway but for the bricks this time.
Like many other work done in the First Episode of URONTO Residential art Exchange program this one was also collectively done with multidisciplinary artist and a Poet collaborating at the end too.
