Site-responsive installation by artist Emran Sohel during the 7th episode of Urotno residential art exchnage program at Sunamganj, Bd.
This work was a spontaneous reflection of artist Emran Sohel about the present engagement of certain area of the palace by the locals. The gathering of young boys to play card, drink and smoke and also their occasional secret meetings merged into the previous narration of the palace with the old furniture rapped with lights and play cards. This was a performative installation by the artist where the local visitors (who engage the empty spaces in different course of time) were part of the process and installation too. This work also reflects the connection between artist himself and the architecture by the rapped or bonding nature of the work.
Emran Sohel is a multidisciplinary artist from Bangladesh. He is keenly interested in outside the white cube where he prefers to create his own space within the real one and the very inner feelings of his and execute that through his involvement and attachment with that space.
