29 Jan Reconstruction of Life: Stories of the Past 02
In this installation, artist tried to represent the existence of the people who has lived here in the past. Nowadays, people around this house doesn’t know about those people, …..many don’t have any idea of that…but the house exists and people walk by in front of it just thinking who might be living in this. Artist wanted to recreate same situation as before to represent what kind of people they were and how they live in this house in the past!
Images of family members form the old drawers in were found by the artist, and she incorporated the human figures in the same places as they are in the images. The entire work was displayed with candle lights to create different shadows and have a different essence to the work. The experience was design in such manner for the local audience so that when ever a person enters the room it take them a moment to realize weather the real people are back or its just a image places there.
