02 Jul Open call for Rajshahi based youths to join the Youth Board of OSCH Project.

Our Shared Cultural Heritage-OSCH, is a privilege platform for youth to connect with our local cultural heritage and also create a global network. This open call is exclusively for all youth from Rajshahi, aged 18-25 with diverse background of talent and practices.  

Currently one third of the population of Bangladesh is youth. Youths have always led the modification and advancement of the socio-economic, cultural and political state and circumstances of Bangladesh from the frontline. The saddening truth is youths were hardly connected to the preservation, development and promotion of Bangladeshi heritage. Up to now all the works done on heritage are academic and research based. Here also there is almost no participation of youths we may say.

In such a situation, OSCH project we will attempt to engage youths to promote the ancient and historical heritage of Bangladesh. By arranging some remarkable activities, a company of relentless youth will be oriented about all the heritage sites selected in various location, focusing on the untapped heritage sites and locations with historic significance primarily.

In this project, selected youth board will get access to unique training and mentorship program including Writing, storytelling, Outreach methods, Short film making, Podcast and live radio telecasting, Design and Publicity campaign, visual identity design, event management, baseline research methods, theater production and many more. The produced films, writing, design and other productions will be exhibited in various global platforms later on.

The selected applicants will get the privilege to work directly with Varendra Museum and design future activity inclusive of youth brains. OSCH and its partners will provide all kind of training and logistic support for them to initiate creative activity to connect larger youth group to the cultural heritage through Virendra Museum and its legacy.

OSCH is collaborative initiative by British Council, CCD and Uronto Artist Community.
