A site-responsive composition by Deepak Kumar Yadav at Dubolhati Palace during the residential art exchange program in Naogaon, Bd.

Deepak works with almost any and every object that comes in contact of him. With a very unique capacity of understanding different material and assembling, he starts a journey into his work and until the end of his curiosity he keeps experimenting. At Dubolhati he came to know about this old dirty mat, rolled and left back in the bushes behind the palace. Such rolled Hogla mats are commonly used to carry and dispose dead-bodies in villages.

Without any fear Deepak took that mat addressing a vague reality and started to assemble leftover materials in the palace during the night time. Roaming suspiciously around the palace during the dark night was his part of the journey into this work. The final outcome can tell many stories depending on who and when communicates to it.

Deepak is a freelance Art worker from India. He experiments with variety of materials and processes in his journey of being an artist. He is skilled in ceramics, terracotta, bronze casting, stone casting and many more, also have extensive knowledge of Gen Gardening.
