29 Jan The Bleeding House
This work is a satire work done in the Old commissioners building in Kushtia, BD. Here in the work the collective IDEA was to bring out the feelings of the house. The building was not more important to anyone, it is given to the developers to demolish and build a new modern building. This work took place while they were demolishing the building day by day. It shows the cuts and blood of the old house which was a symbol of pride of the area once. The moment it was abandon and when generation around it changed no one any more remember the pride and so they also dont realize the tears of blood of the house.
The work was a very spontaneous approach regarding the unfortunate situation and the design of the house, as there were tunnels on every side of the building.
The work was developed during the URONTO Residential art Exchange Program where all participating Creative practitioners are encouraged to work in collaboration and in multidisciplines. Here a Poet and a mix media artists collectively developed the second phase of the work were the poet wrote four lines for each of the Art works expressing the narrative of the work.
