Artist Manir Mrittik created a series of work in three different approaches, during the 8th Episode of Uronto Residential Art Exchange Program in Naogaon, Rajshahi, BD. Below are the first series of expressions by the artist.
The structures and objects built by mankind often outlast them. The lands and structures are re-occupied by nature and people who wouldn’t otherwise have access begin to find new uses. A house that was once a home, is now a graveyard of a time gone by. Myths and legends are formed, the truth slowly falling apart along with the structures.
These works explore the various facets of relationships. The attempt is to shed some light on how we challenge ourselves to find these connections, and what they mean for each of us. The relationships we build are as diverse as we are, and these works reflect that.
Manir Mrittik is based in Bangladesh. He mostly produces work as an experimental intervention involving his deep passion and skill on photography. He creates a different level of interaction through his series of photographic works. He explores the beauty in human life as a part of nature in a dream-like manner.
