12 Mar URONTO in Birmingham with Transforming Narratives.
URONTO is happy to announce that they have been invited among the study visit group for the Transforming Narratives cultural exchange program, A ground-breaking three-year project to establish Birmingham as a leading international center for contemporary South Asian arts. Funded by Arts Council England & British Council.
URONTO is invited to share their experiences about their project also meet with and connect with Birmingham based cultural organizations and develop possible collaborations in future under the Transforming Narratives platform. This opportunity is created to enhance the understanding of contemporary arts practice between Bangladesh and Birmingham also allow to enable a cultural network in-between.
On behalf of URONTO, Tanvir Murad Topu attended the visiting program which was designed for 8 days in Birmingham. During the stay, Tanvir along with other selected groups met the IKON Gallery, Birmingham Museum Trust and many more other Art Organizations there. The program followed with a presentation/ round table discussion with each group, Mohammed Ali’s Knights of the Raj performance event and a grand dinner.
URONTO is looking forward to have a strong networking and exchangeable dialogues in future with Birmingham based art Organizations and Arts Practitioners.
